Boise's own Lee Reisig and Billy Jackson have been bringing the world of competitive jump roping to the Cirque Dreams entertainment brand since 2009. They have now created 3 troupes totaling a dozen "jump ropers" to tour the U.S. and Korea in the renowned holiday spectacular, Cirque Dreams Holidaze, which will rehearse and launch one of multiple North American tours from the Morrison Center in Boise, ID. The premier performance will tonight, November 20th. Tickets starting at $30 are available at the box office or visiting www.idahotickets.com. In 2009, Lee and Billy met theatrical visionary, Broadway Director and Cirque Dreams founder Neil Goldberg. Together they began exploring theatrical stage presentations integrating jump roping and other high flying stunts to be presented in Cirque Dreams shows worldwide. Since then, Lee and Billy have performed in numerous Cirque Dreams productions while casting and developing other jump ropers from around the world for future Cirque Dreams shows. Billy Jackson recently relocated to Florida, closer to Dream Studios production facility where all Cirque Dreams shows are developed, while Lee Reisig continues to teach jump rope year-round in Boise, ID. Together, they are responsible for casting, training and choreographing multiple jump rope teams with artists from the U.S., Hungary and the U.K. for 3 Cirque Dreams Holidaze tours in 2012, one of which will entertain service members and their families at U.S. military bases throughout Korea. According to Cirque Dreams founder Neil Goldberg, "We previously scouted this type of talent from Russia and Ukraine where athletes skipped rope in a much different style than the U.S. competitive jump ropers. Meeting Lee and Billy has not only enabled us to raise the skill set in our shows, but engage young athletes throughout the U.S. as well." Lee Reisig, a Boise-state alumni, and Billy Jackson have been competitive jump ropers for over 18 years. They are members of the USA Jump Rope All-Star Team and were finalists on MTV's "America's Best Dance Crew" as Saltare, as well as NBC's "America's Got Talent" as the Summerwind Skippers. They have made numerous TV and film appearances including "The Ellen Degeneres Show", "The Rachael Ray Show, Disney's "Shake It Up", a Coca-Cola commercial and more. They hold FISAC World Titles and medals for Grand National Championships. Lee has coined the phrase "The Tricktionary" and founded "Flight Crew Jump Rope". Cirque Dreams Holidaze is "so full of energy it could end our dependence on oil" according to the New York Daily News and "stuffed with so much holiday cheer and audacious acts, Scrooge would exit with a big ol' smile on his face" proclaims the Erie Times News about this "Broadway-worthy spectacle". Cirque Dreams Holidaze 2012 Don't miss the international sensation Cirque Dreams Holidaze that "Dazzled...at The Kennedy Center" according to the Washington Post and will now premier in its 4th season at The Velma V.
