(2/23/2013) - The Christian Youth Theater - North Idaho is hosting a Mad Hatter Tea Party, today, Feb 23 at 1:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army Kroc Center, 1765 W. Golf Course Rd., Coeur d'Alene. The Tea will be one hour before the matinee performance of CYT-NI's Alice the Musical which follows at 3 p.m.

Company of Fools Presents DISTRACTED, Now thru 3/1

(2/13/2013) - Company of Fools, part of the Sun Valley Center for the Arts, finishes its 17th season with Distracted by Lisa Loomer running tonight, February 13 - March 1 at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey. Time Out NY called Distracted a 'My favorite comedy of the year!' The play examines the perplexing and emotional journey of two parents hoping to make the best treatment decision of treatment for their son's Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Distracted, which premiered in Los Angeles in 2007 and made its Off-Broadway debut in 2010, is a sharp, chaotically entertaining riff on the challenges of parenting in the modern age.

The Morrison Center Presents THE SECRET GARDEN, 2/17

(2/7/2013) - The Secret Garden is the last of three classic stories presented by professional actors in a staged reading in the Morrison Center's beautiful Recital Hall. This completes the 7th season of the Family Reading Series. With bits of costumes, sound effects and music, characters from great works of fiction and drama come alive in theatre of the imagination where you become a part of the story.

CYT-North Idaho's Alice to Read to School Children at Local Libraries, 2/13

(2/6/2013) - CYT-North Idaho's Alice, from their upcoming winter musical, Alice the Musical, will be reading to children and performing at the Hayden Library, the Coeur d'Alene Library, and the Liberty Lake Library on February 13. Alice will read from 'Alice in Wonderland' at 10:30 a.m. in Hayden; 1 p.m. in Coeur d'Alene and 4 p.m. in Liberty Lake. Alice will also be available for pictures.

(2/1/2013) - Christian Youth Theater - North Idaho (CYT-NI) says come tumble down the rabbit hole with Alice in their upcoming production, Alice the Musical. All of the familiar characters you know and love from the popular childhood story, Alice in Wonderland, will be there and many more in this cast of 76 local school children. The show opens February 22 at the Salvation Army Kroc Community Theater, 1765 W.Golf Course Rd., Coeur d'Alene, ID. All of the children are currently taking theater arts classes in CYT's winter session of their after-school theater arts education program.

(1/14/2013) - The tour of the smash hit Broadway revival of WEST SIDE STORY is coming to Boise. WEST SIDE STORY will open at the Morrison Center on March 25, 2013 for four performances. Tony Award-winning librettist Arthur Laurents' Broadway direction is recreated for the tour by David Saint, the Associate Director on Broadway. The original Jerome Robbins choreography is reproduced by Tony Award-nominee Joey McKneely (The Boy from Oz, The Life).
