It's been 18 years that Contemporary Theater Company has been putting on this 24-hour play festival, an amazing concoction of stories and actors and action that just can't be compared to anything else because, frankly, there is nothing else like it.
It was one of those shows that you did not quite know what to expect. Being an 80's kid, I knew the mastery of David Foster, mostly from my infatuation with Chicago, but didn't know if this show with singer-songwriter and wife Katharine McPhee would be more of a hit concert redux or a Christmas show or something completely different. It proved to be a wonderful mix of all.

My wife, so deep into the former category, worried how I would take Burbage's Rhode Island Premiere of Austen's SENSE & SENSIBILITY since I am not as familiar with Austen's work. But, in the end, she had little to worry about.

What did our critic think of FOOTLOOSE: THE MUSICAL at Theatre By The Sea? So for the sake of full disclosure, I am an 80's kid at heart. It's the only music I listen to (maybe a little 70's too because of my older sister) and Footloose has always been one of the best 80's soundtracks bar none.
