Broadway's iconic vocalist and actor, Tituss Burgess accepts a leading role in the staged reading of The Bench-Journey Into Love. Burgess will appear live to present the original jazz score which is set for the Nampa Civic Center on July 13th.

Burgess is best known for his recurring role on the hit NBC series, 30 Rock. He has originated memorable roles in the original Broadway casts of Jersey Boys, The Little Mermaid, and the revival of Guys and Dolls, as well as headlined at major symphonies and top cabaret venues throughout the world. Other television credits include A Gifted Man and Blue Bloods.

Eric McCree, CEO of Idaho-based Titus Theatricals the producer of The Bench-Journey Into Love, has assembled a live jazz ensemble to back the dynamic story driven choreography. Burgess will be joined by his duet partner Angela Birchett to deliver the original score composed by New York's, David Lalama with lyrics by Joel Mason of Edinburgh, Scotland.

The Bench: Journey Into Love invites the audience to experience the often-explored and highlyrevered emotion of love and family in a sensory-stimulating production that captivates from beginning to end.

"For me, love and jazz go hand-in-hand. Jazz couples words and phrases to the deepest emotions we experience whether it be love, joy or great sorrow," said McCree.
