CYT-North Idaho Presents BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, 11/1-11

Christian Youth Theater - North Idaho (CYT-NI) says "Be Our Guest" for something magical! Step into the enchanted world of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Nov 1-11 at the Salvation Army Kroc Community Theater, 1765 W.Golf Course Rd., Coeur d'Alene, ID.

Seventy-eight local school children ages 8-18 make up the cast with an additional 25+ on crew all overseen by 65+ adult volunteers. All of the children are currently taking theater arts classes in CYT's fall session of their after-school theater arts education program.

Based on the Academy Award winning animated feature, this Broadway stage version includes all the wonderful songs from the film, plus new songs written especially for version like “Home,” and “Human Again.”

Audiences will be transported to a lovely French provincial town where the beautiful Belle lives with her father. When he doesn't return from a trip to a local fair, Belle rushes off to find him. She discovers he is being held captive in an old castle by a hideous Beast. Belle trades her freedom for his, and the magical “tale as old as time” begins! With beautiful songs, enchanting costumes, suspense, comedy and adventure, this show has something for theatergoers of all ages.

Dates and Times are as follows:

Nov 1, 2, 3, 9, & 10 at 7 p.m.
AND
Nov 3, 4, 10, & 11 at 3 p.m.
AND
a bonus performance at Nov 10 at 11:00 a.m.

Ticket prices are: $12 for adults; $10 for Seniors and children 12 and under and $9 for groups of 10 or more to the same performance. All tickets are $2 more at the door. There is a Discount Matinee: 3 p.m. on Nov 3. All tickets are just $8. The 11 a.m performance on Nov 10 is for patrons with special needs and their families/caretakers. Those tickets will be $6. This is an abbreviated performance that is adapted for an audience with special needs.
